Blake Joseph Stenier, 37, was convicted of distribution of child pornography.
The court also sentenced Steiner to serve five years of supervised release after his prison sentence. He was also ordered to complete sex offender treatment and register as a sex offender once he is released.
According to admissions made during his plea, Steiner started a conversation on a mobile
application
Officials said to get access, Steiner first sent the undercover agent a video of himself and the date to verify his identity. In another effort to gain access to what he thought was an online child pornography group, Steiner sent a video of a girl under 12 years old being raped by an adult male.
Steiner then admitted to the agent that he managed another child pornography group
online and that he engaged in hands-on conduct involving a minor.
The case was investigated by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and the Louisiana State Police and was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Edward H. Warner.
