The victim was identified as the child of the suspect, and officers learned that Alan D. Honeycutt allegedly assaulted the victim when the victim made a comment to one of Honeycutt’s roommates. During the assault, Honeycutt allegedly allowed one of his roommates to assault the victim, and soap was poured in the victim’s mouth and eyes.
According to authorities, they questioned Honeycutt, and he allegedly admitted to assaulting the victim due to their “disrespectful comments.” Honeycutt went on to mention that he put the victim in a “Full Nelson,” but he did not think he was strangling the victim.
Honeycutt was arrested and charged with Domestic Abuse Battery by Strangulation and Cruelty to Juveniles. His bond was set at $65,000.
