Overturned semi reduces I-70 near Sherman to one lane

INDIANAPOLIS – The westbound lanes on Interstate 70 near Sherman Drive are reduced to a single lane due to a crash involving a semi.

Around 3:55 a.m., the Indiana Department of Transportation reported that the three right lanes of I-70 westbound at the 85 mile marker were closed due to an overturned semi.

Indiana State Police confirmed that a dual trailer semi was the only vehicle involved, and the driver was being checked for injuries.

At around 7:38 a.m., officials with the Indiana Department of Transportation said the left two lanes are now open after Thursday morning’s crash.

There is no estimated time on when the crash will be cleared.
