One of the locations is on Musgrave Boulevard, and contractors say that, due to the city’s demand for high-end luxury apartments, eight three-story buildings are planned for the corner. The project will include a pool with cabanas, grills, cornhole, pickleball courts, and a luxury fitness center.
More apartments are in the works near the intersection of Oldham Lane and East South 27th Street. According to city documents, the plan calls for more than 20 buildings, some two-story and others one-story. Plans also show a swimming pool.
Patio homes are planned for construction on Maple Street. The Abilene Planning and Zoning Board approved a zoning change to allow more patio homes, this time on the 3400 block of Maple Street. Single-family homes on about 12 acres of land have been demolished to make way for the project.
The city’s planning and zoning board has approved all of these projects and must wait for approval from the Abilene City Council.
