Super Bowl makes $1.25 billion economic impact on Louisiana

BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — Super Bowl LIX hosted in New Orleans brought in $1.25 billion to the state’s economy.

The New Orleans Super Bowl Host Committee, New Orleans Saints owner Gayle Benson, Secretary of the Department of Louisiana Economic Development Susan Bourgeois, and GNO Inc. announced at the Capitol Park Museum in Baton Rouge. Gov. Jeff Landry could not attend due to a “pressing matter” at the Louisiana State Capitol.

The news conference is scheduled for 10 a.m. Louisiana First News will provide a livestream in this article.

The Philadelphia Eagles defeated the Kansas City Chiefs, 40-22, in the Big Game on Feb. 9, 2025.
