HOUMA, La. (WGNO) — A man has been arrested in Terrebonne Parish for alleged carnal knowledge of a juvenile.
According to the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office, 19-year-old Jobi Neal of Schriever was arrested in connection with an alleged incident involving a 14-year-old.
On Thursday, May 29, Special Victim’s Unit detectives were called to the Children’s Advocacy Center of Houma, and SVU detectives met with the alleged victim and parents. According to deputies, the juvenile reported abuse from a 19-year-old suspect.
TPSO Detectives said they were presented evidence from the victim’s parents, alleging Neal was responsible for sexual acts with their child.
SVU detectives brough Neal in for questioning. According to the TPSO, Neal admitted to engaging in sexual acts with the 14-year-old.
Police arrested Neal on charges of Carnal Knowledge of a Juvenile. Neal was booked into the Terrebonne Parish Criminal Justice Complex. TPSO officials said he was released on a $20,000 bond by local judges.
This is an ongoing investigation.
