Redshirt sophomore offensive lineman Roy Brackins III, redshirt senior defensive lineman Zion Nason, redshirt freshman linebacker James Predtechenskis, and redshirt junior wide receiver Jay Wilkerson will headline the Independence Bowl Youth Football Clinic.
Coaches from Louisiana Tech, ULM (University of Louisiana Monroe), Sam Houston State, Northwestern State, Centenary, and SUSLA (Southern University Shreveport Louisiana) will also teach the clinic participants.
The yearly clinic is for boys and girls from five years old to eighth graders.
Players will learn football fundamentals in team drills and basic fitness techniques from members of the training staff.
While the clinic is free, there is a limit of 400 participants, so parents are encouraged to register their children in advance. Preregistration check-in and registration for any remaining spots are on June 7 at 7 a.m. Parents will be required to complete a waiver at that time. The camp is from 8 a.m. to approximately 11 a.m., with lunch provided by Whataburger and t-shirts provided by Sports World.
