MONROE, La. (KTVE/KARD) — On May 28, 2025, at 3:16 PM, David Catherine of Baton Rouge, La., known as a member of the Bleeda Gang and by his stage name “Real Bleeda,” was booked in the Ouachita Correctional Center and charged with two counts of Aggravated Assault with a Firearm, Rioting, and Illegal Carrying of Weapons, after allegedly brandishing a handgun and threatening to shoot in the Pecanland Mall.

On May 19, 2025, the Monroe Police Department was called to the mall on Millhaven Road after a male subject was seen allegedly flashing a firearm in the building. During the investigation, authorities identified Catherine as the male subject and learned that he was involved in an argument with two members of YNN, a street gang in Monroe. After the exchange of words, Catherine and Tyrece Rollins, another member of the Bleeda Gang, began to film the two YNN members walking away from the argument.

According to authorities, Catherine allegedly pulled out a firearm and pointed it in multiple directions, stating, “We can do it in this b**** we can tear that a** up right now.” The incident was caught on video and later posted on social media platforms.

On May 21, 2025, Catherine was taken into custody by the Baton Rouge Police Department.
