SOLSBERRY, Ind. — A motor home was destroyed by fire late Tuesday night in rural Greene County, and firefighters said in a Facebook post that the cause is suspicious.
According to a statement posted Wednesday morning by the Eastern Greene Fire Territory, crews were dispatched at approximately 9:45 p.m. to a reported camper fire on Wolf Road, just off State Road 54. Firefighters arrived within four minutes to find a motor home fully engulfed in flames.
Photos released by the department show intense fire consuming the vehicle, which was parked in a wooded area. Later images depict the scorched remains of the camper, reduced to charred rubble, with smoke still rising as firefighters worked to douse hot spots in the darkness.
“Officials said the motor home had previously been used as a residence, but the occupants had recently vacated. The vehicle had no electrical power at the time of the fire,” Eastern Greene Fire Territory said.
No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
