BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (May 26, 2025) — The Indiana University men’s basketball team will head to San Juan, Puerto Rico, this summer for a weeklong foreign tour featuring three exhibition games from Aug. 5-12, the program announced Monday.
The trip, organized by Complete Sports Management (CSM), will include a matchup against a Puerto Rican All-Star team on Aug. 6 and a two-game series against Serbian professional club Mega Superbet on Aug. 9 and 11. All games will be held at the Roberto Clemente Coliseum.
“We are excited for this opportunity to play three high-level games in Puerto Rico this summer,” said new Indiana head coach Darian DeVries. “This trip will allow us to bond both on and off the court as we prepare for the 2025-26 season.”
The tour is designed not only to help the Hoosiers build early chemistry under DeVries’ leadership but also to showcase Indiana basketball in an international setting.
Mega Superbet, based in Belgrade, Serbia, competes in the Adriatic Basketball Association and has developed numerous NBA players, including three-time MVP Nikola Jokić and 2022 first-round pick Nikola Jović.
“This matchup promises to be a real treat for all basketball fans,” said Misko Ražnatović, legal counsel for Mega Superbet. “It brings together two elite talent developers — Mega, widely regarded as Europe’s top club for developing young players, and Indiana University, one of the most respected programs in the NCAA.”
The event is a collaboration between Indiana Athletics, CSM, and Discover Puerto Rico, the island’s official tourism agency.
“Puerto Rico is thrilled to welcome Indiana men’s basketball,” said Carlos Deliz, Sports Tourism Director for Discover Puerto Rico. “We’re proud to create an unforgettable experience for athletes, loyal fans, and our community.”
Fan travel packages, including hotel accommodations, are available for purchase and are fully refundable up to 60 days before the tour. Availability is limited.
