BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 604 will host its annual Memorial Day ceremony at 10 a.m. Monday, May 26, at Valhalla Memory Gardens.
Community members are invited to attend the event, which honors the men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces who gave their lives in service to the nation. Attendees are encouraged to bring folding chairs or blankets for seating. Complimentary coffee, donuts, and bottled water will be available to all who attend.
The Bloomington Community Band will begin playing at 9:30 a.m., ahead of the ceremony.
The event is one of several local Memorial Day observances, including a 9 a.m. ceremony at Rose Hill Cemetery hosted by American Legion Post 18.
