1 hurt after train hits truck in West Baton Rouge Parish, officials say

BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — A train hit a vehicle in West Baton Rouge Parish on Thursday morning.

The collision happened at 4451 Highway 1 across from Antonio Road, according to the West Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office (WBRSO).

WBRSO said the call came in around 11:30 a.m., and the truck occupant was taken to a nearby hospital with mild to moderate injuries.

This was the second time this month that a train hit a vehicle in West Baton Rouge Parish.

The first instance took place at LA 1 and Lukeville Lane on Monday, May 5.
