OVERNIGHT: Cloudy, rain continues. Winds: Northwest at 8-18 mph, gusts to 20. Low: 47.
Thursday opens much like the past two days, with a heavy overcast.
A few light, spotty showers may still linger in a few locations, but rainfall coverage is likely to only cover 20-30% of the metro area. Drier conditions take hold as we head towards the long holiday weekend.
If the cool, dreary weather has you down, there are some subtle improvements on the way, especially during the afternoon and evening, as we finally get some partial sunshine to emerge.
Temperatures will be a few degrees higher than Wednesday afternoon’s chilly 52 degrees but remain well below normal for late May thanks to northerly winds blowing in straight out of Canada.
The normal high temperature for May 22 is 73 degrees.
