Road closures for 2025 Roots Picnic

(WPHL) — The 2025 Roots Picnic is happening on May 31 and June 1 and as the city prepares, drivers should be aware of road closures for the festival.

The two-day music, arts, and culture festival will be held at The Mann Center at Fairmount Park.

Road Closures & Parking Restrictions

Lane restrictions and road closures around the West Fairmount Park area and Overbrook neighborhood will begin on Monday, May 19.

The following street will be closed starting at 6 a.m. on Monday, May 19, until approximately 6 p.m. on Thursday, June 5:

• States Drive, between Belmont Avenue and Avenue of the Republic

The following streets will be closed starting at 6 a.m. on Tuesday, May 27, until approximately 6 p.m. on Wednesday, June 4:

• South Concourse Drive, between Belmont Avenue and 52nd Street

The following streets will be closed starting at 12 p.m. on Thursday, May 29, until approximately 6 p.m. on Wednesday, June 4:

• Avenue of the Republic, between Belmont Avenue and 52nd Street

The following streets will be closed starting at noon on Friday, May 30, until approximately 6 a.m. on Monday, June 2:

• North Georges Hill Drive, between Belmont Avenue to 52nd Street
• South Georges Hill Drive, between North Georges Hill Drive and Belmont Avenue
• Wynnefield Avenue, between Parkside Avenue and Belmont Avenue
