Mountain Home’s Pinkston Middle School designated as Arkansas Diamond School to Watch

It was announced last week Mountain Home’s Pinkston Middle School has been designated as an Arkansas Diamond School to Watch for 2025. The state designation puts Pinkston in the running for national designations as well.

Justin Smith is the Principal at Pinkston Middle School. He says the process started with a very challenging application process.

After that, Smith says there was quite a bit more they had to go through to be approved.

The Pinkston principal says there are many challenges when students move to middle school, but he and the staff are proud of what the youth are doing.

Smith also mentioned the outdoor education opportunities offered at Pinkston.

Going through the process of being designated an Arkansas Diamond School to Watch helped the staff realize all that goes on at the school for the students according to Smith.

Pinkston will remain in the prestigious Arkansas Diamond School to Watch group for the next three years.
