Police believe the same suspect is involved in both cases. The individual was described as wearing all black clothing and a ski mask, and was armed with a handgun during both robberies.

Surveillance footage from the scenes is currently under review, and images and video have been released to assist in identifying the suspect. Authorities are encouraging the public not only to examine the suspect’s appearance, but also to listen closely to the suspect’s voice, which may help in recognition.

“This is an ongoing investigation,” the department stated in a release. “Your assistance could be critical in bringing this individual to justice and keeping our community safe.”
