Airbnb.org, a nonprofit, has partnered with United Way of Kentucky to identify Kentuckians most in need of emergency housing and use the Airbnb platform and network to provide housing.
The organization said the temporary housing will be completely free for guests and funded by Airbnb.org.
In a news release, the nonprofit said United Way of Kentucky and Kentucky Emergency Management had already provided free emergency housing to more than 500 people who were displaced by floods across Kentucky this year.
Impacted residents can call 211 in Kentucky to learn more about available resources.
People willing to offer discounted stays can visit Airbnb.org to learn more. People unable to offer stays but wanting to help with the Airbnb.org mission can also make donations.
