Chicago police were called to the parking lot of Momty’s Grill, located at 8307 S. King Dr., shortly after 4 p.m. following reports of a shooting involving two victims.
When officers arrived, they found a 34-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound to the back and another man who had been shot in the head and right forearm.
Both men were transported to Christ Hospital, where they later died.
Police say the incident began inside the restaurant when the two victims got into an argument with a male suspect. It quickly escalated into a physical altercation, during which the suspect pulled out a gun and fired.
The suspect was taken into custody at the scene and is at Roseland Hospital in good condition.
The investigation is still ongoing.
