Above is the latest severe weather outlook from the Storm Prediction Center that does show some severe weather risk for the eastern edge of the ArkLaTex. However, hi-res models including Futurecast show that any storms that develop on Tuesday will likely do so well to the east of our area. If we do see any severe weather issues on Tuesday, it would likely be wind and hail. The tornado risk is looking very low.
Based on the good model agreement, I would put my current level of worry about severe weather on Tuesday at 3 on a scale of 10.
We should see some quiet weather settle in for the rest of this week. Our next chance of storms will likely hold off until this weekend. We will see a chance for a scattered storm on Sunday. Storms could become more widespread on Memorial Day. Temperatures this week will stay somewhat hot with highs in the upper 80s to lower 90s. Overnight lows will briefly retreat to the 60s and then return to the 70s by the weekend.
