Michael Jordan Chicago Bulls uniform sells for $2.6 million

CHICAGO — A Chicago Bulls jersey and shorts worn by Michael Jordan sold for $2.6 million at an auction over the weekend.

According to auction house Heritage Auctions, the Jordan-worn uniform was photo-matched to 17 games during the 1992-93 NBA season — which was the Bulls’ first three-peat and the season before he retired for the first time.

He swapped out jerseys more often after he returned.

The auction house says the jersey and shorts “exhibits monumental game wear far exceeding any Jordan gamer” it had previously sold.

Jordan was shown in the jersey on the cover of an October 1993 issue of Sports Illustrated.
