Indiana Pacers guard Tyrese Haliburton to be featured in WWE 2K25 video game

INDIANAPOLIS — Indiana Pacers point guard Tyrese Haliburton will soon be a playable character in two video games.

Haliburton is already a playable character in NBA 2K25. On Monday, the WWE announced that Haliburton will also be a playable character in WWE 2K25.

The WWE teased its addition of Haliburton to the video game in a post on X around 8:25 p.m.

At 9:33 p.m., the WWE posted a clip of Haliburton talking to former Colts punter Pat McAfee and commentator Michael Cole about the video game. The WWE posted a still photo of Haliburton’s video game character

at 9:36 p.m.

Haliburton has entrenched his place in the WWE universe over the last year or so. Last June, Haliburton and New York Knicks guard Jalen Brunson appeared during WWE Smackdown at Madison Square Garden.

“I’m really excited,” Haliburton told Cole and McAfee. “Obviously, I got the opportunity to come and be in the Garden, experience that, get in the ring a little bit. So, I’m excited about being a playable character in the game. It’s gonna be super cool, so I appreciate the opportunity and look forward to it.”

Haliburton and the Pacers will play Brunson and the Knicks in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals on Wednesday. Tipoff is scheduled for 8 p.m. at Madison Square Garden.
