Girls, 16, rescued from sex traffickers at San Jose hotel: SJPD

(KRON) — Two 16-year-old girls were rescued from a hotel on Monterey Road in San Jose, police said.

According to the San Jose Police Department, Peter Supnet, 28, and Edwin Dickerson III, 27, drove the girls to the hotel on April 10. After the group arrived, the underage girls were ordered to perform sex work in exchange for money, police said.

When one of the girls tried to leave, she was punched by one of the suspects, police said.

The SJPD Special Victims Human Trafficking Task Force responded to the hotel. Detectives were able to gather evidence suggesting Supnet and Dickerson were attempting to sexually traffic the girls. Both survivors were provided with resources on scene.
