CHICAGO — A 64-year-old man was stabbed to death in an alley early Monday morning on the Near West Side.
According to Chicago police, the man was in an alley in the 2400 block of West Gladys Avenue when he was approached by an unknown man around 7:45 a.m. After an argument ensued, police say the offender took out a knife and stabbed the victim multiple times in the body.
The victim was taken to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The offender, meanwhile, fled the scene southbound and is not yet in custody, police say.
No other injuries were reported.
