Fresno Grizzlies’ President Derek Franks said he wants festival goers to enjoy their tequila-filled night but to do so responsibly.
“It’s very important for us here at the ballpark to have fun events, but also that they’re responsible, fun events,” Franks said.
Franks said every year the park works with Fresno Police for events like these to keep the festival under control.
“Fresno PD has been an amazing partner, not just for today’s event, but for all of our major events at the ballpark,” Franks said.
He said their staff also made sure everyone had a safe night.
“We’ve got alcohol monitors here and all of our staff have been trained about the importance of safety first and when it comes to consumption,” Franks said.
He said taking these measures ensures the night goes off without a hitch.
“You can’t control everything, but we’ve got a lot of things in place that make it so that this is going to be a safe event,” Franks said.
Fresno Police also said several extra officers made sure no one got behind the wheel after drinking too much tequila.
