POTTSVILLE – Schuylkill Gives raised over $70,000 for nonprofits in Schuylkill County and over $21,000 of that came north of the mountain.
During the 24-hour online giving event, 615 donors gave to 46 nonprofits. The total is a new record, organizers said.
“Schuylkill Gives is more than just a fundraiser — it’s a day that highlights the heart of our community,” said Amanda Campbell, Executive Director of Schuylkill Area Community Foundation. “This year’s success reflects the deep commitment our residents have to making Schuylkill County a better place for all.”
The Ringtown Area Library had the second highest total with $13,325 from 225 donors.
Countywide, Schuylkill Gives raised $70,412. Locally, $21,430 went to nonprofits in northern Schuylkill communities, including $715 for the Ashland Library, $685 for Downtown Shenandoah, Inc., and $425 for the Greater Shenandoah Historical Society, among others.
