CPD: 5-year-old boy abducted by father on South Side

CHICAGO — A 5-year-old boy was abducted by her father Friday morning in Kenwood.

Nyjah Proby, 5, was last seen at around 6:45 a.m. in the 4900 block of South Chicago Beach Drive.

The boy was wearing a grey shirt with a red and blue dinosaur decal, grey sweatpants and black gym shoes.

He wears his hair in a part down the middle and has braids on both sides.

The boy is believed to be with his father, Maurice Proby, 30, and the abduction stems from a domestic situation, according to Chicago police.

He has long dreadlocks, according to police.

It’s unknown if an Amber Alert will be issued. Anyone with information can call 911 or 312-747-8380.
