Investigators said they determined that the stabbings stemmed from a dispute between rival gang members over graffiti tagging.
Concord PD said its officers responded to the incident around 3 p.m. on May 6 in the area of Willow Pass Road near Market Street. The victims were taken to nearby hospitals in stable condition.
Police said the suspects — now identified as Cristian Cobos, 25, and Ramon Cobos, 22 — fled the scene before officers arrived. Concord police said officers assigned to its Violence Suppression Unit took both brothers into custody and conducted a search warrant.
CPD said attempted murder charges were filed against the Cobos brothers on Wednesday by the Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Office.
