A 16-year-old victim contacted the Petaluma Police Department to report that he had just been robbed at gunpoint for his car around 8:30 p.m. on Sunday.
Officers responded to the area of Clubhouse Drive near the closed area of the former Adobe Creek Golf Course, where the robbery occurred. The victim informed officers he was “looking to sell some clothing” when a vehicle with three occupants arrived.
The suspects hopped out of the car. Police said one of the suspects aimed a firearm at the victim and demanded his belongings. The suspect who brandished the gun subsequently physically attacked the victim, causing minor injuries, according to police. The suspect drove toward Frates Road after the attack.
Petaluma PD said officers were unable to locate the victim’s car, and the case is ongoing.
The victim, according to police, was treated at the scene by members of the Petaluma Fire Department and released.
Anyone with information regarding this robbery is asked to contact the Petaluma Police Department at 707-778-4372.
