POCATELLO — A fire outside of a construction business resulted in the loss of two semi-trucks Wednesday evening.
According to a news release from Shoshone Bannock Tribes, the fire occurred at around 7 p.m. at Mickelsen Construction at 1908 Tank Farm Road.
The fire did not cause any injuries.
The incident also led to a hazardous fuel spill, with an estimated 250 gallons of diesel being released from one of the trucks. The Shoshone Bannock Tribes Environmental Waste Department responded to the spill and cleaned it up quickly.
The Fort Hall and North Bannock fire departments put out the blaze within about one hour, and an investigation is underway to determine the cause.
Deputy Fire Chief Tony Saiz said the two trucks were declared a total loss.
