The April 27 shooting happened inside an apartment near 4700 SW 11th Street around 1:30 a.m. Officers provided emergency treatment to Liam Spahnle-Bailey and rushed him to an area hospital. But he did not survive, authorities said. There was one other person injured in the incident. They have since been released from the hospital.
Police say they are searching for Anthony Hunter Jr., 20, Xavier Hirsch, 20, and Terrell Coy, 16. They have each been charged with second-degree murder.
“Since the shooting, our officers, detectives and law enforcement partners have worked tirelessly to identify the individuals responsible for Liam’s death. We now need the community’s help to find them and bring them to justice,” said Gresham Police Chief Travis Gullberg.
KOIN 6 News spoke with Liam’s family last month. Liam’s brother, Gordon Mott-Bailey, expressed his heartbreak at that time.
“What happened to him should’ve never happened. I hope he’s at peace right now,” Gordon said. “If we don’t get justice for him, it’s not fair. So they have to, they have to face what they’ve done and suffer. Suffer through it, like us.”
Police say the three suspects should be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone who sees them should call 911.
“Our office is dedicated to obtaining justice for the victim and his family,” said Multnomah County District Attorney Nathan Vazquez.
