Shreveport Police officer placed on leave after abuse arrest

SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) — The Shreveport Police Department has placed one of its officers on administrative leave following a domestic incident.

On Tuesday, May 13, the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested Austin Terry. He was charged with one count of domestic abuse battery, child endangerment, and interfering with 911 service.

There is no word on a motive, but once the criminal investigation has concluded, a thorough internal affairs investigation will be conducted. The Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office is the lead agency investigating the incident.
