Blue Bayou Water Park closed for 2025 summer season

BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — Blue Bayou Water Park will not open this summer, officials said.

Blue Bayou’s counterpart, Dixie Landin’ Theme Park, will open on Friday, May 23. Officials did not share further details on the reason for the closure.

Starting May 23, Dixie Landin’ will be open Wednesday to Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The park will also be open on Memorial Day.

There are 25 attractions at Dixie Landin’, including roller coasters and a train.

Daily admission is $10 per person and includes $10 worth of ride or food tickets. Guests under 36 inches tall are admitted free of charge, according to the theme park’s website.

Additional ride or food tickets can be purchased for $1 each inside the park or at the admission gate.

Each attraction requires between one and three tickets. “All You Can Ride Today” bracelets are available for $27 per person. All prices include tax.
