The suspects were charged with the following offenses:
Officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department North District were dispatched to the Walmart at 7325 N Keystone Avenue on Sunday at approximately 1:20 p.m. on a report of a theft in progress.
Upon arrival, authorities learned that several boxes of fireworks were allegedly stolen, and that the individuals fled from an emergency exit. According to police, witnesses on scene described the two vehicles that the reported thieves left in.
Crews found one of the vehicles at approximately 4 p.m. in the 3900 block of Meadows Drive. The officer attempted a traffic stop, but the vehicle allegedly refused to stop and a short vehicle pursuit followed.
Law enforcement recovered the reported stolen merchandise from the vehicle along with two illegally possessed handguns.
