Rain chances will be few in the coming week and a half. Our next chance of seeing some rain will arrive on Friday night and possibly this weekend. Any thunderstorms that do develop should be very isolated and confined mainly to the northern half of the area. We will see a stronger upper-level disturbance move across the middle of the country during the first half of next week. As of right now, it appears that any severe weather concerns will stay to the north of the ArkLaTex. My level of worry in the next ten days: 2 out of 10.
We will see below-normal rainfall from now through next Thursday. Most of the southern half of the area will receive less than ½” of rain. Further away from the upper-level ridge, amounts will be higher and near 1”.
Once we get hot & humid, we will likely stay hot & humid. Most of the next ten days will see highs in the low to middle 90s. Lows will warm into the 70s and likely stay there until the end of the period.
