Body found in Alexandria, ruled homicide

ALEXANDRIA, La. (WNTZ) — Alexandria police are investigating a homicide after the body of a woman was found Saturday afternoon.

Officers responded around 2:35 p.m. on May 10 to the area of 16th Street and Stracener Street following a report of a deceased individual. The victim was identified as 35-year-old Loletha Bell, according to a news release from the Alexandria Police Department. Authorities said Bell’s death has been ruled a homicide.
