Artists will use cardboard tubes and other materials to construct original sculptures.
“Go realistic or nonobjective, it’s totally up to you,” a press release stated. “Come alone, bring a friend, or bring the family! Whether you’re 5 or 95, there’s no wrong way to Tube-a-Rama!”
Tube-a-Rama is a free, come-and-go event with no registration required. It will be held on Saturday, May 17, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at TRAHC’s ArtSpace, 518 Pine St. in Shreveport.
“What can’t you build at Tube-A-Rama?” said National Teaching Artist Kay Thomas. “You can create sculptures up to two feet tall, crazy tube people, rockets, monsters; the sky’s the limit! Join us for the wildest craziest art experience ever.”
