Man fatally struck by train in South Philadelphia

(WPHL) — Philadelphia police are investigating after a man was fatally struck by a train in South Philadelphia.

According to police, the unidentified man was struck by a train just before 615 p.m. on Sunday, near Broad Street and Oregon Avenue in South Philadelphia.

Medics on scene pronounced the man dead at 6:23 p.m.

Police say they are actively investigating the incident.

At this time, the victim has not been identified.
