INDEPENDENCE, La. (WGNO) — Detectives with the Louisiana State Police are investigating a deputy-involved shooting in Independence on Thursday, May 8.
The LSP reported that one suspect was shot on Labruzza Lane near Highway 40 and taken to a hospital for treatment around 8:20 p.m.
LSP officials said no deputies were injured.
The shooting is being investigated by the LSP Bureau of Investigations at the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office’s request.
