BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — The Don Owens Memorial Lodge 88 of the Fraternal Order of Police will host a Peace Officer Memorial Day service on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at 11 a.m. outside Bloomington City Hall, located at 401 N. Morton St.
The annual ceremony honors the memory of eight officers and deputies from the Bloomington Police Department and the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office who were killed in the line of duty. In the event of inclement weather, the service will be held indoors.
The public is invited to attend and pay tribute to the fallen officers who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to their community.
