BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — A suspect is in custody after good Samaritans successfully prevented a bank robbery in Baton Rouge.
The Baton Rouge Police Department confirmed the attempted robbery happened at Regions Bank on South Sherwood Forest Boulevard Thursday morning.
The good Samaritans saw the man waving a gun and were able to take him down in a scuffle, according to police.
One of those good Samaritans is in the BRPD Academy.
The man walked in armed with a gun and demanded money before being neutralized.
The name of the suspect will be released at a later time.
