Quieter today, rain returns for the Mother’s Day Weekend

Much quieter weather is in the forecast for Acadiana this Thursday. Temperatures are starting in the lower 60s along with patchy fog. Afternoon highs will near 85° under partly cloudy skies. Only a few spotty showers and storms are possible today as left over flooding issues continue to drain.

Unfortunately, another stretch of unsettled weather returns tomorrow and will last through the weekend. Scattered showers and storms will be widespread each day. Heavy rains are possible but we are not expecting a high risk for flash flooding. The severe threat should remain low as well.
