
On Thursday, May 8, the council recognized Jordan for his contributions on and off the field.
Saints and Pelicans owner Gayle Benson joined local and state leaders at City Hall to declare the day “Cam Jordan Day” and acknowledge the work he does in the New Orleans community, including youth mentorship and civic engagement.




“New Orleans, I say we’re family. We’re locked in. No matter where I go, we are always going to be locked in. I hope I’m in New Orleans for another thousand years. I doubt I’ll live that long but I’m just saying that’s how deep I feel we’re locked in,” Jordan said.
