J. Michael Gray, 21, of Franklin, is charged with possessing a gun in a posted firearm-free zone, illegal use of weapons or dangerous instrumentalities, criminal trespass, possession of armor-piercing bullets and resisting an officer.
Jeanerette Police responded just after 8 p.m. Tuesday to the area of St. Charles St. and Domingue St. in reference to a report of shots fired.
Officers apprehended Gray, who was armed with a high-powered rifle and handgun, officials said. After further investigation, it was learned that Gray was wanted by the New Orleans Police Department.
Gray’s booking or bond details, or any other information, were not released.
