Grant Parish reports heavy rainfall and localized flooding

COLFAX, La. (WNTZ) — Severe weather continued to impact Grant Parish overnight, causing road closures and hazardous driving conditions across the area.

According to the Grant Parish Sheriff’s Office, a downed tree has completely blocked Abe Hall Road following strong overnight storms. The sheriff’s office had already issued warnings about heavy rainfall and localized flooding on Monday, with up to six inches of rain reported in some areas.

Motorists are encouraged to monitor local media and the Grant Parish Sheriff’s Office for real-time updates and advisories.
