MCCURTAIN COUNTY, Okla. (KTAL/KSHV) — A former coach at Haworth Public School has been arrested for alleged second degree rape reported authorities.
According to court documents, 25-year-old Jonah Davis was taken into custody in early April based on evidence that surfaced during an unrelated investigation.
The McCurtain County Sheriff’s Office stated Davis was accused of inappropriate behavior with a student.
Investigators with the McCurtain County Sheriff’s Office believe that he had previously been in a ‘dating relationship’ with an 18-year-old victim while they were a student and he was a coach at the school. Testimony and phone records indicate that the relationship continued until and after the victim’s graduation.
The school district says Davis has not been employed with Haworth Public Schools since June 2024.
Davis is facing charges of rape in the second degree. He has a preliminary hearing set for June 3rd.
43-year-old Terah Wright is the other former school employee who was recently accused of inappropriate relations with students. Her charges include three counts of soliciting sexual conduct or communication with a minor and one count of possession of juvenile pornography.
The school district says that Wright has not been employed with Haworth Public Schools since February 2025.
