According to a WARN notice filed with the California Employment Development Department, the company will close its SF office on June 17. The filing indicates that the closure of the office on 870 Market Street is permanent.
The latest downsizing and possible job cuts come amid what has been a turbulent few months at 23andMe. In March, the company filed for bankruptcy.
That same month, California Attorney General Rob Bonta issued a consumer alert to customers of the genetic testing and information company. Back in November, the company cut about 200 jobs as part of what it called a “business restructuring to streamline operations.”
