Eight central Louisiana groups win youth volunteer grants

ALEXANDRIA, La. (WNTZ) — The Rapides Foundation has announced the recipients of its 2025 Youth Volunteer Summer Service Grants, awarding eight organizations across Central Louisiana the opportunity to lead community-based volunteer projects between May 1 and August 31.

The grants aim to encourage youth engagement through service opportunities that benefit their communities. Last summer, participating youth contributed to clean-up efforts, assisted at senior centers, supported recycling events, and took part in other civic initiatives.

“We are excited to see the positive impact this year’s youth volunteers will make across the region,” the Foundation said in a statement.

2025 Grant Recipients:

  • Alexandria Affordable Housing Corporation
  • B22 Sports Complex
  • Clifton-Choctaw Reservation
  • Limitless Christian Academy
  • Morning Star Baptist Church
  • The Health Enrichment Network – Wellness Center
  • Town of Bunkie – Move Bunkie Forward
  • Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church

Each organization will lead summer projects aimed at fostering youth leadership, community development, and civic responsibility.
