Man shot in the head in Southwest Philadelphia

(WPHL) — A man is being treated at the hospital after he was shot in the head in Southwest Philadelphia.

Philadelphia Police tell PHL17 the shooting occurred around 2 a.m. between South 62nd Street and Woodland Avenue.

When police arrived at the scene, they found a man in his 20s or 30s suffering from a gunshot wound to the head.

The victim was transferred to Penn Presbyterian Hospital in critical condition.

At this time, police have not made any arrests, and no weapon has been recovered.
