‘Family Ties,’ ‘Trick or Treat’ star Marc Price bringing comedy act to Rockford

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Marc Price, who played “Skippy” on the 80s sitcom Family Ties opposite Michael J. Fox, will be performing his standup comedy act in Rockford this week.

Price’s character, Irwin “Skippy” Handelman, was a reoccurring character on seven seasons of the hit NBC comedy that co-starred Fox, Justine Bateman, Meredith Baxter, and Michael (Tremors) Gross.

In addition, Price played opposite Gene Simmons in the heavy metal horror classic Trick or Treat (1986), in which his character resurrects his satanic rock hero Sammi Curr from the grave by playing a cursed LP backwards. The film also had an appearance by Ozzy Osbourne as an anti-metal preacher.

Price has written and produced shows for E!, TBS, The Disney Channel, and more, and is currently the spokesperson for the Rockford-based Insurance King.

Price will be on stage at The District Bar and Grill, at 205 W. State Street, on Thursday, May 8th, at 7 p.m.
