Actor, comedian Mike Epps to perform in Rockford this October

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Actor and comedian Mike Epps is bringing his stand-up comedy act to Rockford’s Hard Rock Live in October.

Epps is known for his roles in Next Friday and Friday After Next, and as “Black Doug” in The Hangover film series.

He was also the comic relief in two Resident Evil movies, Resident Evil: Apocalypse (2004) and Resident Evil: Extinction (2007) opposite Milla Jovovich.

His first non-comedic role was in the 2012 remake of Sparkle, alongside Jordin Sparks and Whitney Houston, and he played the title role in the short-lived sitcom version of Uncle Buck.

Epps began his professional career by joining the Def Comedy Jam tour in 1995, and has been a main cast member on Netflix’s The Upshaws since 2021. Few people may remember his role in the Marvel box-office bomb, Madame Web.

Epps will take the stage at Hard Rock Live on Friday, October 10th at 7 p.m.

Tickets go on sale July 31st at 10 a.m.
